"The click", aka "Own Yourself, it's never too late."

"We are the masters of our own life"

"Any decision we make, evertyhing we focus on and do comes from thoughts in our brain which we process and turn into words, actions and emotions".

"For everything that happens to us, we are the ones to decide how to interpret it".

"If we only see problems and failures, that's what we will get. If we see opportunities for growth, then our consciousness and the universe will cooperate with us to overcome the obstacles".

How many times have you read similar sentences? The internet is full of motivational articles and nice and inspiring words meant to help us. I don't know about you, but to me these only provide sort of a temporary relief.

Lots of people are so into reading these articles that they just use them to hide their stress for some time, as any stressed corporate worker might need a beer after a long day of work. It helps, ok, but just in the short run.
In order to live a more fulfilled life and follow your dreams you will need to to harness the power of change that lies within you.

How to do that, then?

The answer, as simple as it might seem, is contained in just one word: DO.

Every great thing starts with a small step. Think about the many succesful people and billionaires of the modern world who started their career working from a garage (Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs and many others). They actively participated in their life. They DID something.

Think about the struggle amazing artists like Django Reinhardt had to go through: he was already a respected guitar player, but after an accident he was left with just two fingers in his left hand. Despite everyone told him we would never be able to play again, he insisted and managed to learn again to play from scratch and become one the most appreciated jazz guitarists on the planet. He DID something.

These people might have felt hopeless, desperate and unable to move forward in their lives at some point, just like us. But what differentiates them from us is the fact that no matter how negative the situation was, they kept going and nothing could stop them. They believed in themselves.

"But what if we are stuck and unable to make any steps?" you might ask.

Believe me, i know the feeling a lot. For too much time i have been stuck in a vortex of negative thoughts and feelings. I didn't feel valuable, loved and appreciated. I took lots of time and self-reflection to understand how i felt, what was bothering me, what was good for me, what i wanted and, ultimately, who i really was.

That's what i recommend to all of you: finding yourself is the first step to make both yourself and your loved ones happy.

In the chaos of the modern world, where everyday we get so many information to be able to physically process them all, too rarely we have time for ourselves, too rarely we are able to dedicate 10, 30, 60 minutes to self-reflection. This ends up in ultimately losing contact with our true selves and that is the most important thing we can NEVER allow the world to take from us.

Lock yourself in a room, take a piece of paper and a pen and start writing down your feelings, your aspirations, your passions. Keep writing until your hands hurt and you are not able to think clearly anymore. Keep all your notes and repeat this exercise for a while.

You will eventually feel something, it will be a small spark at the beginning, like a very dimmed light at the end of a tunnel. This is the first confirmation that you are"DOING". Keep following the spark, act on it and you will be able to transform this into something as unique as YOU are.

Some people call this an "a-ha!" moment. I prefer to call this feeling "the click". The image of a switch in my brain that suddenyl I managed to turn on intrigues and stimulates me.

I know that when i feel the click something amazing is going to happen. I know that my motivation will increase and that my negative thoughts will get away from me, because the click helps me understand i am on the right path.

Once you "clicked" and found out what you wish to work on, hold the feeling tight and start actively working on creating the life you want. If you are not able to focus for a long time or have too mayn commitments, it's ok to start with baby steps: start with 10 minutes a day to improve your skill. It's not a big effort, isn't it?

Remember that you have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD and that it's NEVER TOO LATE.

Cultivate patience and persevere even if everything seems lost. Be the captain of your own ship, be a brave sailor battling strong seas and winds on a seemlessly endless night. The sun will rise, eventually. And when you will look athe the stars and the moon disappearing, while the sky starts lighting up, you will know you have changed, and from that moment on you will be able to decide, with a reinvigourated spirit, what is the next port you will get to...

FIND YOUR OWN "CLICK" AND OWN YOURSELF. IT'S NEVER TOO LATE.

Blessings for all from the bottom of my heart.
