It has been more than 2 weeks of continued rain in most parts of the country due to recent typhoons and strong monsoon rains. This causes floods in low-lying cities and municipalities in the country, damaging properties and disrupting everyday life.
However, rain is the most important thing for farmers because it provides rice crops with the much-needed water they require to grow well, as well as the fact that farm expenses will be greatly reduced, giving more profit.
In our field, the rice has grown very well and looks like it is now in its reproductive stage.
Our chili drying venture is still going on. In fact, because of the rain, the price of fresh chili has dropped significantly, to the point that it is worth the risk of buying it to dry. In fact, we bought a thousand kilos more. Unfortunately, due to the weather, these chilis are just sitting inside the warehouse, waiting for the sun to show up.
Because of the rain every day, I don't have much to do and just stay in our house. I tend to our farm animals and spend some quality time with my family. We did some early shopping in preparation for the next School year in the last week of August this year. I pity the children of today in our country because their school break coincides with the peak of the rainy season. In contrast, in my time, it is the dry season of April and May in the country.
Well, I think the only difference is that they can't go to the beach. Haha!
We live in various living conditions in this world. While some people are tired of dry and hot weather, others are tired of constant rain)
Being able to adapt in every situation. That's how we survive as a specie. Have a nice day.👋
