Ken has lived his whole 21 years on earth with excellence, graduating as the top of the class crowned with the title of Summa Cum Laude. He is modest and he does not get ahead of himself knowing that he has much to learn even with the numerous titles given to him. Yes, Ken has achieved a lot and getting job is very easy for him. He was able to land a Job Interview to be a manager at his dream company where its Owner/CEO was where all his inspiration came from.

He was ecstatic and nervous as he was about to reach for one of his dreams. At the day of his interview, he walked to the company's front desk and gave his name up to get on with his scheduled interview. He was sent to the top floor of the building and went to the only door available once he got off the elevator. He knocked thrice and no one answered. He let himself in and sat at one of the seats infront of the desk. Nervous as he is, giant drops of sweat from his head roll down to his face waiting for the person who would conduct his interview.

5 minutes passed by, to Ken those 5 minutes felt 6 times longer than it was since he was too anxious, and the company CEO walked in to introduce himself. At this point Ken was mind blown that his idol would be the person conducting his first job interview. The CEO explained that he took notice of him when he was still a freshman at college -

"I saw your statement about your goal in life and your inspiration when you were featured at the magazine I always read. You see we went to the same college school and I am a very proud alumni"

"It's such a great honor sir! As you already know you are my role model and I want to be like you sometime in the future."

"This is a great start then, your resume is as attractive to any company as it gets and you passed with flying colors up onto graduation day, what was your scholarship contract?"

"I'm sorry but I don't have a scholarship sir"

"Then who pays for your tuition then?"

"He will be my father sir. He works alone and my mother died when she was giving birth to me."

"What is his work?"

"He works as a construction worker at local sites here"

"And how old is he?"

"He is turning 38 this year sir."

The CEO stepped to the side of the table to see Ken's hands and he was surprised Ken's hands were as soft as cloud9 and did not have any wrinkles at all.

"Son, before we proceed I want you to go home and wait for your father prepare him a meal and when he gets home let him eat first and after that wash his body for him, okay?", "also do not tell your father why you are doing this"

"Yes sir"

So Ken went home confused why he was given this task before they can get on with the rest of the interview - He did as instructed, prepared the best meal he can muster up, set up the table and greeted his father goodevening as soon as he arrived. They ate together and took a bath together after eating. As soon as he saw his fathers back and hands tears wont stop rolling down his cheeks. Ken never took notice how battered up his father was with all the bruises and wrinkles on his hands were despite his father's young age.

The next morning he went back to the company building to continue where they left off.

"Okay, now tell me what happened my boy?"

"I did what you had told me to do and I realized that my success was the result of my father's continuous hard work, so I can focus on studying and excel at life"

"That is right, what else?"

"Well you see I never looked closely at my father like I did last night. I had come to appreciate how important family is because of that and how lucky I am to have the best support provided by my father. I will work to have him retire and take his turn to enjoy life sir, he is now my new goal"

"Well that is good, that is what I look for when I hire people for my leadership team. Someone who understands the value of the people working hard for them to attain their goals."
