Surviving my family of seven

in #life8 years ago

In order for me to introduce myself you need to understand my uniquely structured blended family. My family is my reason, support and sometimes the reason for my insanity. Most of the stories I will post will be about surviving my family of seven

We are a family of seven, eight if you include my cousin that stays with us during the week for work. I started dating my husband, whom I have known since I was nine, in 2012. I always tell him the reason I fell in love with him is because he came with the most adorable two year old son. We got married in 2013 and just a week after that my mom fell ill and had to stop working. My sweet loveable husband decided the only place for her is with us. You have to understand the love and respect my husband and mom shares makes me feel like I might be the one married into the family. So for a year we lived in perfect harmony, the four of us until one sunny December morning that we received the great news that I was pregnant. Totally shocked but extremely excited about adding number five to our perfect family.

Lily was born in August and was the perfect addition, one boy, one girl, mommy, daddy and gran. Two months later my baby brother, which I have to mention is blind for you to understand the impact of what happened next, had a bouncing baby boy. A mere three months after Joe was born, my brother and his wife split. So it goes without saying that my wonderful husband yet again moved my brother in with us.

So there we go, me (Anne), my hubby (Quinton), Stepson (Quinton Jr), my mom (Corrie), my daughter (Lily), my brother (Phillip) and his son (Joe). Now stays in perfectly chaotic harmony. Oh yes and remember Shawn my cousin that stays with us.

Between everyday life and stuff that happens in between, you might laugh, cry and feel like you are going to have a nervous breakdown on a daily basis. So follow me on our journey.

I have to go now, Lily found the chocolates her dad hid in his emergency “toolbox”.

Hope to chat to you all soon.
