I don't want to know how often you did not ask this question out of fear to make a bad expression.
Maybe you have been with your previous partner for a few months without even knowing what he or she did all day.
Why do we think it is bad to talk about what another person does for 8, 10 or 12 hours a day?
Ask about money. Talk about money. Discuss the future of your funds.
What is his job ?
Can you describe his/her profession?
Do you know the company's name?
It is very important to talk about the profession and how your partner pays the bills.
A friend of mine never asked her boyfriend what he did. He had a nice car, a nice apartment and a ton of free time.
She never asked. She was curious but never asked the questions that matter.
So one day she moved in with him, without knowing what he did. They started to plan on having kids and all of the sudden their apartment was searched by the police.
Turns out her new love was involved with a lot of shady stuff.
He had another place rented and was growing cannabis and selling it illegally-
And since it was not his first offence he had to go to jail.
She lost her partner, had a ton of stress and drama and wasted a lot of time because she never asked these questions.
So please ask them ahead of time!

but i agree, it is one of the most important ones
people who dont see eye to eye on finances will have a difficult time in their
relationship
