RE: Watching Mars Flicker Made Me Snicker

in #life6 years ago

My favourite and possibly most creepy theory about the "afterlife" is that as a person's brain activity disintegrates, their perception of time and space warps and stretches. They hallucinate an eternity within a few minutes. This would explain people "coming back" after nearly drowning or something like that, and describing having visited Heaven or Hell.

It's a very lonely theory. If it's true, then not only do we all die alone... we all live forever alone. Ugh.

That's a good song. Another one for the collection. You're driving a lot of my musical discovery lately :)

I was listening to that entire album as I did my thing here. One of my favorites for sure.

As for you what you said, that kind of ties in with my dream theory. I think I was there once, long ago, but I was not alone until I came back.

I've lost consciousness from a medical issue before for a brief amount of time. Within my mind it was a long time, but I was not alone. It was an oddly empty space full of people I love. Kind of my happy place where I felt none of the physical pain. Being unconscious of course is not the same as a near-death experience, but if the deteriorating mind's thoughts do get warped out of proportion, I'm assuming I still wouldn't be alone. I have a lot of people in my thoughts to be sifted through.

By the way, in your art up there the first thing I see is a big nose. Its like God's nose, inhaling your spirit. Maybe for recycling, maybe for the fast-track to Mars? Who knows.

I wonder if God needs a nose or if he can just smell. Hmm.

Most of the people I see in dreams, I haven't met in life.

I know the brain lives for awhile after we die. Probably just long enough to feel like an eternity.

Your subconscious makes up people? Interesting. I guess that makes sense because you make up characters with your art. I rarely have an invented person in my dreams.

Isn't there some 90s pop song rambling about God's eyes? That just popped into my head but with the phrase Gods nose, and suddenly I like this song. I also almost wrote that it "pooped" into my head. That makes sense too.
