I had this exact experience, except back around 2011. Oh, the racks-on-rack-on-racks I'd have now if I'd gone against, well, everyone.
The problem with approaching people with new ideas is they are ego-invested in their old ideas, ie. their self-identity is literally survival-dependent on not changing key ideas they have about the world.

there's also a lot of incertitude...what I mean is that I felt ok advising people to get in at 10 cents, 10$...now. I can't really tell them to put a few thousands in this with clear heart. I tell them to join steemit mostly :)
