After writing a post comparing putting 20% downpayment on a house VS investing it into Bitcoin I received a couple messages from a friend. The first one is outlined in this article where I make the initial comparison.
First message- November 2017-
As your long time friend of 20 years; $35,000 on bitcoin? Are you crazy. There are so many other things you could do with that money that could probably increase your quality of life, get you cash flow potential and actually produce something of value in the real world. Not an algorithm that you hope will sell for more than you paid.
Second message from the same guy not even one month later- December 2017-
Where do you buy bitcoin? Coinbase? A lot of people I know are predicting that it’s going to take a good temporary dive when the futures market comes on. Hopefully going below $8k. I’m ready to buy $24k worth if it does
