My life having a teacher as a mom

in #life7 years ago

Hi Steemians! How’s everything going?
Today I decided to tell you about an aspect of my life that definitely made me who I am, the fact that my mom is a teacher.

I know I am not the only one having a mom who’s a teacher but mine definitely took her profession to our home, she raised my siblings with strict rules since they had to stay home alone while she was studying; when I was born, my parents got their divorce and my mom moved to another city where she had a little bit more support from our family.

As I was literally the baby of my house, because my brother and sister are around ten years older than me, I was really spoiled but at the same time they all demanded a lot from me, and taught me lot of things since a really young age. I started kindergarten and a week later my teacher asked my mom to transfer me to the next class because I already knew all the material for that classroom and was too bored all the time. Right after, already in the next class, it happen again, I was making my classmates homework so they could play with me, since the class was “too boring” for me.

My mom wasn’t really convinced because I was too young and small, I started first grade at age of 4, and since that very moment I was always one the best students, my mom made sure of that, the story was the same in high school and in the university; not just her but my brother, who was just as me, as a child, expected the best of me, and so I did. I won’t lie, it was tough because I got really stressed when thing didn’t go well with my grades, but I appreciated because they pushed me to my best and supported me when everything turned bad. They never got mad because of a bad grade, the total opposite; they supported me and made me feel better.

Thanks to that I always did my best, and definitely made who I am!
