Great post! Breast feeding is HARD. I had twins and I breast fed them solely for just under 2 years. One twin decided to ween herself, so I decided it was time to ween both. I was ragged from being a human cow. Lol
But on a serious note, my husband was strongly against formula. I respected his preference and I agreed once he explained why. So it was a joint decision. Not judging other mothers because not everyone is able to do that for many reasons, but we could manage it with our lifestyle and it was the only choice that we felt comfortable with. He chipped in to support me for the entire time, he burped and nappied the babies every night despite a 9-5 job. But even with phenomenal support, I broke down many times and cried. Breast feeding was one of the toughest things for me to do in becoming a mother. Good on you and every mother out there who are committed to breast-feeding their babies to the best of their abilities. There is enough judgement out there with regards to motherhood, we don’t need this too. Yes. “breast is best”, but really, it’s just a case of “do your best without going insane!”
“do your best without going insane!” lol so true!
OMG! Twins! I only have one and I'm already at my wits' end. lol. My husband used to burp our son, too--because I was too afraid to do it myself. lol
Yeah, it is probably the most difficult thing that come along motherhood. My husband is as supportive as can be, but he doean't want me breastfeeding in public. I mean, I couldn't care less but he was totally against it. Such a prude.
My son is already 2 yrs old but there's still no sign of weaning. T_T <-- crying face. How did you wean your twins?
