Another electric is coming, this time by the 'hand' of Kia. The South Korean brand presented the first images of the new Niro EV, whose European debut is confirmed for the next edition of the Paris Salon in October.
Kia Niro EV made its world debut this week at the Fifth International Electric Vehicle Show in Jeju, Korea, where it was confirmed the commercialization during the second half of this year, first in the local market and then in the other geographies where the brand is present.
As a result of joint work between the design centers of California (USA) and Namyang (Korea), the Niro EV incorporates, according to the brand, "practicality and attractiveness of a compact SUV, in an aerodynamic body with surfaces sculpted in a way fluid. "
Inspired by the aesthetic principles of the Concept Niro EV shown at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018, the Niro EV stands out for its unique front grille, futuristic design air intakes and a distinctive light signature on LED DRL lights.
It has a new generation electric motor, using production technologies developed specifically for Kia electric vehicles. Equipped with a 64 kWh lithium-polymer battery, the Niro EV is able to run longer than 450 kilometers on a single charge, or more than 300 kilometers with an optional 39.2 kWh battery.
