Why do people in megacities less often help each other?
It has long been no secret that indifference is a scourge of the 21st century. People ignore the fallen person, try to leave the fist more quickly, do not pay attention to announcements about help to the sick and orphans. What happened in the last 20 - 30 years, that we became blind to other people's problems?
Very often we face a difficult choice: to help a stranger in distress, dial a direct number of an ambulance, get involved in a fight, or stay away from all these misfortunes, send a small amount to help the homeless or spend it on food or a loved one. Many, even the majority, always choose the second option in each proposed situation, although they continue to consider themselves merciful, kind and sympathetic.
I conducted an experiment, lay down at the bus stop and lay for three hours pretending that I was ill, no one came in three hours! what happened to people? we do not need anyone ..
