Hello Steemians!
If you have the feeling that the day does not have enough hours to do what you want, you are in luck. I'll give you some recommendations so you can focus on where you spend your free time. The first thing you have to do is ask yourself, am I investing my free time in the right way?
We have many distractions around us and the same day to day pushes us to a series of habits that do nothing but waste our time. Some examples could be spending too many hours watching TV, being hooked on social networks, even spending time consuming alcohol and other substances.
To illustrate what I have written to you there is a phrase that I like very much that says the following:
"Poverty is the sum of badly used hours."
Juan Diego Gomez
WHAT DEDICATED MY FREE TIME?
1- DO EXERCISE
Many of today's jobs require spending a lot of time sitting in front of a computer. Our body is not prepared for it, it needs movement to be healthy. A body that has a sedentary life will lack much energy and vitality. Exercise is a very good instrument to get enough energy to perform other types of tasks.
2- READ
It is one of the best ways to find new ideas, better ways to express yourself and different perspectives. Experts say that only by reading 3 books on the same subject can you become an expert on the subject. You can know more than 99% of the people with deepening in 3 books of the same subject. Do not you think it's a pass?
3- DO COURSES
The most successful people are the ones who have ever committed themselves to never stop learning. Developing new skills has become very accessible with the use of the internet. There is no excuse for not doing so, there are many free courses.
4- FIND YOUR PASSION
This is the main point where I recommend you focus. It must be one of your sources of personal fulfillment. And if you ever become a very good person performing it, you may even make it your way of life.
To convince yourself that you must change something there are 3 questions that are answered by themselves:
What are the activities that fill your free time?
Do they make you happy?
Do you get closer to your goals?
If you see that the answers do not convince you, it will be very easy for you to commit to taking action and changing things.
And you, are you investing your free time well? I would be happy to read them!
Be happy!
Great ideas and words of encouragement. I would also mention "nothing". Sometimes our minds and bodies need time to recharge and we need to allow it to do so. If you burn the candle at both ends long enough, you eventually run out of wick.
