Most people are unhappy with their lives. Why is that so? It is because they have to do things that they don’t like. For example, working for a boss that they don’t like or earning just enough money to pay the monthly bills. I am going to share with you a story about a couple that had this problem.
大多数人对自己的生活都不满意。为什么会这样呢？这是因为他们不得不做他们不喜欢的事情。例如，为他们不喜欢的老板工作或只赚足够的钱来支付每月的账单。我将和你们分享一个关于一对夫妇有着这个问题的故事。

A few months after they got married, the couple found themselves stuck in a boring and routine habit that they hated. They were working full time for companies that they don’t like and they had to pay off their student loans. They also had to move away from their families and friends because their new place is cheaper and closer to their offices.
在他们结婚几个月后，这对夫妇发现他们陷入了一种令人讨厌和乏味的习惯，他们讨厌这种习惯。他们全职的为他们不喜欢的公司工作，他们不得不偿还学生贷款。他们也不得不搬离他们的家人和朋友，因为他们搬到新地方更便宜，更靠近他们的办公室。
To earn more money, the husband became a part time teacher at the local college. During weekends, the couple sold gifts at the local flea market. It was very tiring for them to set up the stall during every weekend.
为了挣更多的钱，丈夫成为当地大学的兼职教师。在周末，这对夫妇在当地的跳蚤市场卖礼品。他们每个周末都要摆摊，真累人。
A few months later, the couple finally got fed up with what they were doing. They worked so hard but they were still poor, unhappy, and stressed. So, they decided to quit their jobs and closed down their gift stall.
几个月后，这对夫妇终于厌倦了他们正在做的事情。他们虽然工作很努力但仍然贫穷，不快乐，压力大。于是，他们决定辞掉工作，关闭礼品摊位。

They began making new plans and goals to achieve. After 1 year of hard work, they were able to improve their financial situation. The husband started his consultancy agency and the wife started her own kindergarten. Their business was so good and they were able to buy a new house.
他们开始制定新的计划和目标。经过1年的辛勤工作，他们终于能够改善他们的财务状况。丈夫创办了自己的咨询机构，妻子创办了自己的幼儿园。他们的生意非常好且他们已有能力买一栋新房子了。
Even though the couple faced a lot of difficulties during that first year, they said that they felt happier and more control over their own lives.
尽管这对夫妇在第一年遇到了很多困难，但他们说他们对自己的生活感到更快乐和更能控制自己的生活。
So, the lesson here is when you stop doing something that is not working well for you, you will start to have more time and energy to think about the things that will work well for you.
所以，这里的训诫是当你停止做一些对你没有意义的事情时，你会有更多的时间和精力去思考那些对你有益的事情。
If you are currently in a bad situation such as having a wrong job or in a bad relationship, you must have the courage to change the situation and cut losses so you do not have any regrets in future. Get out of this bad situation and move towards a new direction.
如果你现在的处境很糟糕，比如找错了工作或是人际关系不好，你必须有勇气改变现状, 这样你以后就不会后悔。走出这坏的局面，朝着一个新的方向前进。

STOPIts a great post and you are quite correct - people can be so scared of the unknown - changing habits - but it is really empowering to be in control and make life changing decisions.
