This is my home away from home. Each of the members of The Foundry have their own workspace.
It is not much - we still have a lot of remodeling to do. The floors need replaced from the tile you see, and painting needs done for starters.
The first project was our desks. We bought the lumber and worked with our resident woodworker to build them.
One of the special items to me is the diversity of businesses represented. We have a woodworker, a SEO expert, website builder, phone repairmen, and myself, health business and trader.
I have only been here for a week or so, but the ideas and camaraderie that are developing have no price tag. Great things are coming.

I couldn't even give a count of how many times I've used two sawhorses and a door for a desk or workbench.
Looks like older 12in. tile. Make sure it's not asbestos.
What does your foundry make?
Asbestos, good point, I think one of the guys mentioned that but I’ll bring it up again.
The Foundry exists to connect mentors with aspiring entrepreneurs. How we do that is by offering workshops, a community workspace, and training materials (Podcasts, ebooks, and so on once we are more established) for cultivating economic activity.
It sounds like a positive force for the betterment of those seeking it.
I wish you unequivocal success.
Thank you.
I'm following this story with great interest!
So, Mr. Health business/Trader, I would love to discuss with you where colloidal silver generators might fit into the long range plans of The Foundry? ;)
Wishing you and your enterprise the best of success...
😄😇😄
Glad to hear it!
I am intrigued by the proposition. How could we discuss this further? Steemit.chat? Discord?
Either would work, as would Skype? :D
Please suggest some time(s) that might work for you? ;)
Sent you a message in Discord. :)
Forgive me, but I don't know how to find you there?...
I am very "discordant" with that...
What is your user name? I am @creatr there, I think...
Same also on steemit.chat?
I am lydon.sipe on both platforms.
Really nice setup, looks compact and comfortable
Thank you. Yes, compact it is.
like a bawse :D
Haha, yes!
I have many offices but I prefer the kitchen table, although right now I'm on the couch with Abbey beside me and Gentle Praise playing on the Sonos. Now my mentors are mostly dead white men although I like Langston Hughes , Maya Angelou and Rumi :)
A scene at the Geddes household that I would expect, and completely adore.
Started reading some Rumi after seeing your comment - I have a poet to study. :)
ha ha, yes - you know me by now...and you'll love Rumi
Totally cool, love it @lydon.sipe and I do hope it works out
Thank you for the blessing @jeff-kubitz!
Cozy little place - at least you got a window office :) Love your shoes.
I wanted that window office, haha. Corner walls are not cozy to me. :)
That is really cool. And did you each build the desks?
Indeed! Yes, we each pitched in to build the desks. It took us about 3 weeks with our varying schedules.
That gives it a more personal feel <3
Yes, it does. :)
It will be fun to watch how it all works out for you! Great desks, by the way! Clean and simple.
Yes, it will! Thank you. They are clean and simple. :)
