hahaha @papacrusher! I have been in your shoes many years ago, except I had a baby and a wailing toddler in toe :)
I used to believe that everything happens for a reason, but now I simply believe that 'shit' happens, but the true test of our character is how we react to that storm, and you my friend, came out smelling of roses :)
You know, come to think of it, the older I get the more the two philosophies are interweaving in my experience. I need to add your stipulation as a caveat.
"Everything happens for a reason and sometimes that reason is because crap happens!"
P.s. wailing toddlers are the best!!!! Lol I don't miss those days!
haha wailing toddlers! A distant memory for me as well :) Your post also made me remember a time with my son, when he was misbehaving terribly in a wal-mart line-up and loudly so those around me could hear, I said, "I can't wait to get you home and tell your mother what a pleasure you've been today!" haha
After your last post where you included this bit of our conversation, it really made me wonder at the beauty of this platform. Just another reason why it's great...the fact that we can really learn so much from others and most here are open to that.
Enjoy your weekend!
I couldn't agree more about the community and learning aspects of steemit. It is one of the main draws for me.
Love the wal-mart story!!!!
