The Global Happiness Report is issued every year by the Network of Sustainable Development Solutions, an initiative launched by the United Nations after the Kingdom of Bhutan, in 2012, endorsed its proposal that happiness be a global goal and a guiding element of government policies.
The study relies on several key factors for happiness, according to the report, such as freedom, health, prosperity, generosity and social solidarity.
