It's been a long time since Macs really had any edge in terms of video and photo editing over PCs. Its now a self-propagating misnomer through confirmation bias by Mac owners. I use Sony Vegas on PC for video editing and its very powerful, right up there with Final Cut. So at the end of the day, if you like Windows, then stick with it. If you are unhappy, then try something new.
