Me and my husband were born and grew up in a small town. We spent there our wonderful and full of joyful moments youth, which has deeply grown in our hearts so we appreciate the atmosphere of small towns. Wherever we went, we always chose places far from big cities. We love small cafes, life in slow motion, markets and friendly conversations with neighbors.
Now we are living in the province of Anton. Everything suits us, especially weather :)
I love small, humble churches that are always open and willing to accept wanderers and those who seek grace.

On the small side streets you can see roadside chapel. Beautiful, holy places to meet with Saint Mary and God. In silence, find the meaning of life and think about your own. There are the benches where you can sit and concentrate in your thoughts with God. It reminds me of my country a long time ago, where farmers before work were praying for good harvests in front of such chapels.

Time to eat !!! There are a lot of good restaurants :)
Small friendly restaurants are famous for its warm Panamanian character, unique atmosphere and original flavors inspired by traditional recipes. I love this informal, warm character, cozy interiors in the heart of nature. Such a fantastic time I love and admire to spend with the family in one of them. I love evenings in good company @grebit, @edekadam and his wife Mariel laughing and chatting with tasty food.
Another and very interesting aspect of small towns are colorful houses. The charm of Panama as eternal happiness among the color palette. Every day I feel that my heart is dancing to see such a friendly world ;)
The last great motive and very emphasizing the otherness of the big cities are roadside sellers who in the comfort of the trees, lying in a comfortable hammock, sell their products.

Wow! Panama, that's a mystery place for me, so far away. But Anton sounds so French!? Your photos really capture the charm and simple life of this place. The sky is always blue like that?! Love it.
The decor of old restaurants are very charming as if time has stopped twenty years ago! Those houses look like doll's houses.

I love the laid back love that a small town gives to you. There is something to be said about having neighbors that are there in good times and in bad.Growing up, I had the same neighbors my entire life. I am sure you did too.
It was a comfort and we helped one another when need, held your hand when you cried, celebrated in a birth.
I love that you found home there and I wish you much happiness in your transient time and space.
