Tonight's sunset was just magical, and this was the tail end of it.
We have a fantastic view from our windows over the neighborhood and further. I will claim that the view from our bathroom is by far better than the famous bathroom at Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong.
They get the city view and Hong Kong Island...we have a view like this!

The other day a big tropical rainstorm moved across the landscape. It is fascinating to see these blankets of rain come in. Everything gets blanked out. On the up side, it gets much cooler once it has passed..for a little while.
No, this particular one never soaked us.
Our young son renamed rains like these. Instead of saying it was raining 'cats and dogs', he said it was raining 'bulls and cows'.
We live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our apartment is 22 floors up, and the house is on top of a hill. We live in the sky.

I've seen pics like your second pic before. It's weird watching it happen, where you can see the rain coming because it's falling so hard.
