Pouncer, our red tabby boy.

One night while out jogging with our boys, this little kitten sat meowing on top of one of the wheels on a car we jogged by. Just down the street from where we lived.
Our young son felt real sorry for him. We explained that the mother were looking for him and we couldn't take him home.
Next night while out running, this little boy was in the same place..

The following night our older son and I jogged faster and made it home before hubby and our younger son. When they came home, wrapped in my husbands t-shirt was this little fella. They could no longer leave him. The mother wasn't coming back, and home with them he came.

We already had a cat, and she disliked other cats something fierce. An introduction was not possible in more than one way. He was full of fleas, and other 'things'. So he stayed in the kitchen and we blocked it off. He could not jump over because of how tiny he was, and she couldn't either. They could hear each other!

Took about a week, and she was curious to see this little one. We did not trust her yet, so we switched from no see through, to see through, and now they could see each other. A few days of this, and we took the barricade away. They were ready to meet.

She accepted him on the spot, and they became really good friends. It was the only cat she ever let come close.

Sadly he passed away a few years ago. A stunning male cat he was.
Our second rescue cat.
