@luisrincon yes. Or, you do see change and progress but it may not turn out to be what you are aiming for, due to the fact that the change is caused by your surroundings.
And if you clean a garbage just in front of the person who did it, then that person will definitely feel ashamed and He will not do it next time.

It's so easier to blame other people for your actions, or not taking any action. It's easier to deal with other peoples lives than your own. Being responsible means being volnurable and admiting you are in a wrong and saying I'm sorry I made a mistake. Some people would rather die, thank to say I'm sorry. Sadly ...Great post :)
Thanks @sasharay yes some people are having a lot of trouble actually admitting they were wrong. I don't really get that, I mean I know I will be wrong anyway sometimes in my life, it's nice to know when it happens so that I can improve.
I totally agree with your @markdeheide. There is even a Croatian song I'm Sorry, where the artist is lyrics goes ... Lakše umrijet, nego ljudima reč Oprosti (It's easier to die than say I'm sorry). I admit my mistakes and always say I'm sorry, even when I'm in the bad mood and moody, I say sorry if I snappy at you today, just avoid me and we will be fine :)

I dig the post and the message, sir. I see it too often - people complaining about their current situation while at the same time taking no responsibility to fix it themselves. Perhaps many people don't believe in themselves enough to just put in the work - I am not sure. Hopefully, you will inspire people to cut that stuff out.
@counselorx yes, it is the idea that they do not have the power to change the situation which is of course due to the way we have been raised, what we have been taught at school etc. Because our economic system would take a blow if people wouldn't be dependent on others anymore :)

@vanejournalist that is reactive, because in that case you are still waiting for somebody else to do something or not, yet you just want to catch them in the act.
Assuming responsibility for your relationship means that you treat your partner in a way that makes him or her not want to be unfaithful, and if it does happen to have a close look at what you yourself did or didn't to prevent that from happening.
Simply spying on someone isn't going to change their feelings and thoughts, putting in effort in your relationship might.
Then again, some people are just dicks and no matter how good they have it at home they will always look for something on the side.

I definitely agree that more people need to start taking responsibility for their actions rather than complaining about the way things are. However, I would also like to add that there are some things we can't control and have to accept, and once we accept these things, our lives will become much easier. Basically, I think we should do everything we can to get everything we want, but if uncontrollable factors don't allow it, then we shouldn't stress too much about it.
@jessica23 in the case of things we cannot control and have to accept on elf the things we have to start controlling is our response to unchangeable things. It's not what happens, it is what you do with it. And that is indeed another addition that can be made to my blog here :) Thanks Jessica! :)
