Well said, I fully understand your point and I completely agree. My condolences for your friend who passed. I also became aware that most people in psychology go into the field for self-improvement first and foremost, then they stay in it because the money is good. I mean, really, they get paid to work on their mental issues and learn to see other people's mental issues to feel better about their own lives. It's kind of like, "I may be screwed up, but your life is way more screwed up than mine is, wow, I now feel better." this is a sad fact but I have found it to be very accurate. Good post, I followed, and liked.

Thanks @markeverlasting ! Yes Notice this a lot, and I think a lot of people study psychology not because they understand people very well and want to help them. But mainly because they do not understand people, or don't feel understood and therefore want to learn more about social and psychological situations and issues. That's not really the point though. Maybe a psych-test up front would be a good way to keep it tight :P
