Gratitude is the best antidote to runaway feelings of want and dissatisfaction. It is something that should be practiced every day. Unfortunately, our entire culture and economy are built on escalating wants instead of striving for inner peace. It's actually a pretty horrid state of affairs when you think about it. How many relationships have gone sour because of that an everything associated with it such as envy?
