RE: Help Yourself First, so you can Contribute Value when Helping Others!

in #life7 years ago (edited)

I'm sorry, newcomer here... So if you have a reputation of 58, and over 150 followers - are you still saying people will not see your contributions without shelli g out for upvotes? Wouldnt that make steemit fundamentally flawed?

Sort:

Well, posts will be visible to followers, but not to new people because all posts at the top of the trending pages have $100 - $200 or more on them. And even if all my 150 followers would upvote I maybe get $7 on my post..

I'm in the same boat man, it really does suck, but you gotta do what you gotta do to survive here...

Thanks @conradsuperb though I wasn't just referring to Steemit also in life. And I'm not complaining :) I'm just pointing out that too many people forget to take care of themselves :)

Yeah, for sure man, I gotcha there and I most definitely agree with you.

Cheers, my friend!!

yes, sadly this is the unfortunate truth.... Steem content is displayed so poorly and it has proven to be one of the worst discoverability experiences for its users, which the users here is what gives STEEM its value, so this just creates a never-ending loop that leads right back to the start.

I wish this wasn't the case, but community curation has been simply nonexistent these days. Take me for example, I now have over 800 followers here and the same handful, yes handful of people come back to support me, which would equate to mere cents on a post I spend hours of my time creating. It really is quite unfortunate, but this is the sad, sad truth

Yes I hope this will change in the future! :)

as do I my friend, as do I!
