Scimitar Attack

in #life6 years ago

The attacking strikes of the scimitar were carried out mainly with a point and a concave blade. The design features of this blade allowed the master to apply two wounds simultaneously during the execution of the cutting-cutting blow.
Protective beams were carried out both with a blade and not with a pointed convex side.
When striking the blow with a concave blade, a much more reliable retention of the enemy blade was ensured, but at the same time it was impossible to apply lightning counterstrikes at the expense of sliding slugs inherent in the saber.

Thus, the scimitar had both advantages and disadvantages. Cossacks, like the vast majority of the then European warriors, gave preference to curved or straight blades
