I had to share this clip here, simply because in just over 4 minutes, it explains modern society better than just about anything else Ive seen :)

So funny and sad. I love this video. Good to see you on steemit, @maxigan! I'd love to have you on the show to talk about 5G whenever you're free.
happy to brother, send me an email via thecrowhouse and I will send you my skype details
I'm the happiest I have been all morning watching this cartoon.. Lol .. I think my kind should see it. This could be mis-understood. Happiness is knowing this is optional and but it really is only optional when we see it for what it really is - repulsive. The mouse trap ending gives me an idea; this is good to share on Mondays! Lol
Hi @jamesc it is horrible to see how most of the people are on the mouse trap in society, following every rule of the stablishment because unconsiously they believe it is the way things are. The good thing is that people that are crazy enough to think they can change the world, they actually do it. And you as an early adopter and developer on blockchains, know more than many people and have really experienced this phrase by Steve Jobs.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Regards, @gold84
Do you really consider participation in the rat race that is modern society to be optional? I would say so too, but only because everything is optional. The fact remains that society has been constructed in such a way so as to make one's survival dependant on their participation in the game.
I have wanted to give up for ages and turn entirely away from money. But, I would either starve to death with my dog, or the people who love me would be forced to immerse themselves deeper within the race to ensure that I had what I need to survive. There's nothing honourable about leading others to get their hands dirty so that you might keep your own clean.
That's why I feel that, while this technically does amount to an option, it's really not much of one at all for anyone with a family, or a desire to live.
Yes, Completely optional.. Though a sustainable community (perhaps quite small) might be necessary where people share resources. It just takes a transition and a community. Chemtrails are the only thing that is not optional in many places, mostly everything else can be fixed for ones self and ones community..
I couldn't agree more! I've written SO much on this, and know that when we start to see more small communities pop up, and they are seen to work, that we will finally have an alternative to present to people.
Ive been building, teaching, and living off-grid for 12 years now and hope to one day start a small off grid Biotecture based community somewhere in Europe.
I also have a vision that I am just starting to manifest which is to use the blockchain and a new ecoVillage coin that could fund the build of an entire small community and allow Very cheap buy in's as well as a lifetimes security.. Im still looking for a programmer to help me with this.
If you are interested to read more about that, i wrote a post a couple of weeks ago explaining the vision!.

When we've had many of the stresses and fears removed from our lives, and given real security, then we can easily be in the now!
nice to meet you @jamesc!
I wanted to move to a commune two years ago when I had reached a point where I was certain that my morals would forever prevent me from adhering to the rules set by society. The problem is, many of the communes here in Scotland are preaching the Luciferian doctrine. I am unsure of whether they know it, I don't believe so. But, either way, I've no desire to run away from an evil society towards an evil commune.
You are right that you could get the community first, and then transition, but these things require a lot of money to set up if it is going to be fully self-sustainable. So, with all due respect - because in the 18 months I've been here, you are the only whale I know to have tried to do some good with their stake - I think that it's easy for someone with a ton of money to speak of these things as if they're easy. But, for those of us who were not as lucky, or those of us who don't have a lot, because we refused to step on top of our peers to climb towards "success," the prospect of building our own sustainable community, on our own land, with our own food etc; is nothing short of fanciful.
Perhaps that is what we need. A charity that helps communities find a home outside of society, where they can actually focus on becoming better people, instead of allowing society to perpetuate the cultivation of the worst parts of all of us.
In regards to chemtrails, you are definitely right. Things have stepped up a few gears here in Scotland over the past month. Conveniently around the same time as perhaps the worst bout of snow I have ever seen in my 30 years. But I think it will also be impossible to escape 5G, and it's still impossible to find food that hasn't been tampered with in one way or another. Even are fruits have been selectively mis-bred to the point that we're getting next to nothing from them anymore. Well, nothing but the poison from the pesticides sprayed all over them, which is of course about keeping insects away, and nothing to do with negating our ability to produce GABA so that we remain anxious and depressed..
Yes. I wish I could feel as you feel. But I know way too fucking much at this point, and unfortunately there's no going back- or forward.
Stay in the now..
Hi @jamesc! I don't really have any way to reach you, so I'll keep commenting & mentioning on stuff old & obscure enough that others most likely won't stumble across it haha!
I wanted to let you know about a project I started last summer, called @tribesteemup, which is selectively curated, automated voting bot, supporting folks creating content about anarchy, health, diet, consciousness, peaceful parenting, and all the other facets of the paradigm shift. It's now up to 35k SteemPower, and a curation trail of 36 accounts, and we're giving over 150 creators something of a "guaranteed income", a lower boundary that isn't $0, for their content.
I already know (from seeing your votes and resteems) that you support many of the bigger names among the tribe, and just wanted to bring the project into your awareness. I don't want to "pitch" you anything per se, but obviously if you felt like supporting the project with a delegation or following the curation trail, I and everyone else would be super grateful. If it doesn't fit into your flow, it's all good, and I am still extremely grateful for all the support that you already give to our community!
I found you on keybase.. talk to you soon.
This is amazing...the cartoon version of They Live:)
Sums the world up in 4.16.
Oh my goodness! What a classic ending! This is exactly whats happened and the ending!! Its exactly where we are!
Well made!
Nice and funny video, but i fell sad after watching.
Thanks for the post.
That was a lot of drawing for four minutes.
I especially loved the Absolut happiness.
Unfortunately for us little mice, we missed the part where advertisers took away our happiness, in order to sell us "happiness". We have been so long under the spell of tell-a-vision, that we just accept that we aren't good enough, we aren't pretty enough, we aren't deserving, but if you pay $99 / mo. we can give that to you.
How did we ever let them tell us how we don't measure up?
If we understood just how much advertisers are putting us down,
we would never buy products from that company again, and find and put the ad director to the firing squad.
It's beautifully animated. Thanks for sharing.
Just like us, that's well done.
Fantastic as it is so true but done funny enough that the average person might actually clue onto the hints at their own life. Makes me almost wish I had facebook again as I would of shared it on there. But then again my life is much better without FB.
