I’ve grown up in a country where every day on the TV news they mention America as a country that is trying to harm Russia by all means. Lots of people on different channels and in many ways are trying to impose on us their opinion on this issue. And you know, they succeed.
Our older generation, which is not particularly keen on computers and internet, is fully confident that America is something large and really aggressive towards us. Any price hike in the country is usually linked to the dollar or another fictional «American influence».
Nowadays the Internet has no boundaries at all, and I think you would rather like to know my own opinion on this question from a first-person perspective. I'll tell you what I really think, as I consider myself to be a non-propaganda-impacted person (I do not watch TV). I’d like to begin with how my America-image has been formed, and I would appreciate if you write here your comments and ideas after reading this story.
Part 1 - 90210
First of all, let me tell you about my first fundamental image of America, and the way it has been formed in my head.
At that time, when I was a schoolboy, I saw BH 90210 series on a TV, and I think that was a starting point in formation of my America- and its people-image.
Stories of the coolest teens, LA golden youth didn’t let us sleep. The concept of friendship, love, wealth, seemed to be so real and so close that they had been tracing our lives for many years.
Each of my friends dreamed of having a beige Mustang (the same as Brandon had), to drive down the long broadband highways around the big city.

Each of my friends dreamed of having a beige Mustang (the same as Brandon had), to drive down the long broadband highways around the big city.
By the way, 2 years ago I finally bought a cabriolet. Does that mean that Brandon with his hair fluttered in the wind still has his influence on my life?
Huge glowing city, parties, football teams and university affairs so strongly etched in my mind that I began to dream about going somewhere close to the ocean with my gang to repeat the story. I had even forgotten about that dream - but we made it a reality!
I’m pretty sure that those who has ever watched this show, do catch the idea of my story.
I suppose that it may have been a usual series for you - but for us it's just something mind-blowing. I know many people (even from my friends) who is crazy about the idea to travel to your continent, and I'm one of them.
I always tend to keep up with a saying: "Dint judge a book by its cover". So once I went to America for a year being a part of an exchange program and couldn't believe my eyes. That trip changed me, the way I think. Love traveling and getting to know people from other countries, they are like books, you read and get a lot of new information.
You are absolutely right ! Travel I have a lot of people !
