Just to clarify, the 10% is actually 2 parts:
5% goes in support to actifit project
5% goes back to delegators as a weekly payment.

Also one feature you might have missed, is that via visiting your profile on actifit.io, you can sign up to the service enabling exchanging up to 20 AFIT for STEEM upvotes, at an approx rate of 0.036$ per each AFIT token. The queue can get lengthy, but you can get an exchange once every 4 days now.

In terms of battery drainage, the multitude of android versions and hardware differences caused us to implement this battery intensive approach, yet we plan on improving this down the road.
Alternatively you can also use a Fitbit if you have one, or other wearables down the road as we integrate others.
