My daughter is 9 and the little boom is just 4. There are amazing, don't get me wrong but funking hell, they steal all the time from you!!!
The head is a bit crap. I would be embarrassed to share I think! It was my very first effort though so I still love it!
Awww, haha, "little boom", too cute. I had the impression that you really care about them from a few little things in your posts. Yes, they do steal all time they can. I certainly did with my dad, LOL.
The head can't be that crap if you still love it. Carving is very old, as I'm sure you know. It takes a lot of practice to really get going with it. It was the one art form I swore I'd never touch, after watching a friend carving a piece of stone that took forever back when I was 19. Later, that changed when I got addicted to wood carving. I'm sure if you had the time, you'd develop nicely. Now if only I'd spent equal time practicing music.
I am quite sure I could say the same about practicing music. I felt that I was once quite good on the guitar. I used to be in a band and we toured all over the UK. It was a glorious time. But since then and all the parenting and all that I think I am about a tenth as good as I once was.
Don't get me wrong, in my head I am better than I ever was. Just not sure it matches up to reality:0)
I do intend to try and get into it. All about that time!!
Oh, you're far more practiced than I am, of that I have no doubt. Touring even! What a wild ride that must have been. Once you are practiced, you never forget, it's just a matter of picking it up again, much shorter curve there. Very cool though. I'd never be able to perform like that.
The time, the time, the time....no matter what I've been doing in life, there's never enough of it to do everything one wants to. There's also far too many interesting things.
I must admit the touring and gigging was one of the highlights of my life. So many different and wild experiences. A lot of it was mudane, the travelling and stuff but it was a great time.
Fat too many interesting things. Yes indeed. It seems like we are magpies for the interesting things!
I can only imagine, lol. It sounds like it was a great experience, even the mundane parts. I bet you learned a great deal also.
LOL, I'd say so. Worst part is that through the years, I've developed an interest in things I wasn't interested in at all and had no intention of ever doing, so it keeps expanding. Would be nice to have a few hundred years to explore, but even that wouldn't be enough.
Oh aye. I get you there. I am recently the same. The list gets longer never shorter.
Must find that immortality potion!!
When you find it, do let me know! 😁
