hello friends ....
today ı wanted to show you the beauty of Turkey. this place Edirne Selimiye mosque and my in the picture :) :)

A wonderful historical monument, ı want to tell you about this mosque history....

The Ottoman ruler II. The Selimiye Mosque, built by Selim the Architect Sinan, was built on Edirne, the capital city of the time, on the remains of the Baltacılar Kokusun, built by Yıldırım Beyazıt at the highest point of the city. Its construction began in 1569 and was completed in 1575. It is the most magnificent work of Ottoman-Turkish art. Architect Sinan, for Selimiye, "the work of my master" is called. It can be seen from the Rhodope Mountains in the open air and from Süleymaniye Village of Uzunköprü.

In Selimiye, a technique never seen before in a mosque, Haghia Sophia and Byzantine work and antique temples was used. In the previous domed structures, Selimiye Mosque was covered with a single dome, although the actual dome ascended above the stepped half-domes. The dome is seated on a pulley that rests on an 8-bed spike. The pulley is connected to the belts by their belts. The diameter of the dome is 31.28 meters and the height is 15.86 meters. In this way, with the spaciousness and spaciousness it gives to the interior, it allows the place to be understood easily. The dome also sets out the outline of the exterior of the mosque.

Selimiye Mosque, Selimiye each of 70.89 meters in height, there are four minarets like pen thin. The minarets are three honorable ones. The road to the third of the two honors is separate. Three minarets can be seen at the same time, without seeing each other. The stone minarets of the two minarets in front are pits, whereas the minarets in the middle are puffed. The proximity of the minarets to the dome provides an appearance that looks like the mosque extends towards the chest. In other mosques, the minarets were made open and the structure expanded.

I hope you will not get tired of this history journey, good evening everyone
