Are Our Townsfolk Civilized Enough?(Part-2)
ၿမိဳ႕သူၿမိဳ႕သားနဲ႔တန္ေအာင္ ယဥ္ေက်းၾကၿပီလား

City life and townlife offer amenities and facilities, like post offices, banks, customs offices, telegraph offices, markets, supermarkets, buses, taxis, airports, seaports, institutes of higher learning and various forms of cultural events, libraries, museums, and entertainments. Along with facilities they offer, town also call for discipline needed to faster, healthy, harmless, peaceful environment for their inhabitants.
ၿမိဳ႕ေတြမွာက လူေတြအတြက္ အက်ိဳးျပဳအေျခအေနေတြ မ်ားလွပါတယ္။ စာတိုက္၊ ဘဏ္၊ အေကာက္ခြန္ရံုး၊ ေၾကးနန္းရံုး၊ ေစ်း၊ ကုန္တိုက္ႀကီးေတြ႐ွိပါတယ္။ ဘတ္စ္ကားေတြ၊ တကၠစီေတြ၊ ေလဆိပ္၊ ေလယာဥ္ကြင္း၊ သေဘၤာဆိပ္ ပင္လယ္ဆိပ္ကမ္း၊ တကၠသိုလ္ေတြ၊ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈအစီအစဥ္ေတြ၊ စာၾကည့္တိုက္ေတြ၊ ျပတိုက္ေတြ၊ ေဖ်ာ္ေျဖမႈပံုစံေတြ ႐ွိပါတယ္။ ၿမိဳ႕ေတြမွာ အဲဒီလို အက်ိဳးျပဳအေျခအေနေတြ ႐ွိသလိုပဲ၊ ၿမိဳ႕ေနလူမႈဘဝ၊ က်န္းမာေရးအႏၲရာယ္ ကင္း႐ွင္းေရးနဲ႔ ၿမိဳ႕ေနလူထုပတ္ဝန္းက်င္သာယာေရးအတြက္ စည္းကမ္းေတြလည္း ႐ွိရပါတယ္။
But look at our towns and cities; what can you see? Pavements teeming with undisciplined and disorderly street vendors; callus driver honking their horns unconcernedly.
ဒါေပမဲ့ တို႔ၿမိဳ႕ေတြကို ၾကည့္ပါ။ ဘာေတြ ျမင္ရပါသလဲ။ လူသြားစၾကႍေတြမွာ စည္းမဲ့ကမ္းမဲ့ ေစ်းသည္ေတြနဲ႔ ကားလမ္းေပၚမွာ နားလည္မႈကင္းမဲ့တဲ့ ကားသမားေတြရဲ႕ ဟြန္းသံေတြ။
Look at the back alleys; in most of them you will see emergency escaple ladders, crumbling at various stages of decay, with banyan trees growing on the walls. Groundfloor residents have built backdoor annexes encroaching upon the alleyway. The remaining portion of alleyway is covered with filth heedlessly thrown by irresponsible residents on various floors of buildings on both sides of the alley. The whole alleyway is rendered useless for the purpose it was kept there between the two rows of buildings.
ေနာက္ေဖးလမ္းၾကားေတြလည္း ၾကည့္ၾကပါဦး။ အေရးေပၚေနာက္ေဖးေလွကားေတြ ေဆြးၿပီး ျပဳတ္က်ပ်က္စီးေနပံုေတြ၊ တိုက္ေတြေနာက္ေၾကာမွာ တြယ္ကပ္ၿပီးေပါက္ေနတဲ့ ေညာင္ပင္ေတြ ေတြ႔ရပါမယ္။ ေျမညီထပ္ေနသူေတြက ေနာက္ေဖးလမ္းၾကားေျမကို ေဝယူၿပီး မီးစက္ေတြ၊ အဖီေတြေဆာက္ထားၾကတာ ေတြ႔ရပါမယ္။ က်န္တဲ့ ေနာက္ေဖးလမ္းၾကား စည္းမဲ့ကမ္းမဲ့ ႏွစ္ဖက္အထပ္ျမင့္၊အထပ္နိမ့္ေတြက ပစ္ခ်ထားတဲ့ အမိႈက္သ႐ိုက္ေတြျမင္ရပါမယ္။ ဒီလို အေဆာက္အဦးႏွစ္တန္းရဲ႕ ေနာက္ေၾကာမွာထားတဲ့ လမ္းၾကားရဲ႕ ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္ကေတာ့ အဓိပၸါယ္ကင္းမဲ့သြားတာ ေတြ႔ရပါမယ္။
