Life lessons we did not learn at university

in #life7 years ago

Education in the university and schools is important, of course, but the school of life is the largest and contains much more lessons and judgment than you imagine. Not everything you learn in the university is all you need to know, but you can say it is just the beginning or even near it.

1. Brief introduction:

How to Speak Briefly Speak well Speak and say so use the right words to express what you want as much as possible but more importantly is the timing when you specify to speak briefly.

2. What I wanted to know when I was your age:

You may take many decisions that you may regret later but later is a timing in itself when you reach it and look back you will realize that if you knew something you would have made a different decision then you should learn that whatever decision you make will not be lost Your time to regret it later.

3. Learn how you can object to people without looking like a coward:

You have to learn that all people, and if you are really a smart person, you should not deal with people because of this intelligence. All you have to do is give it to you and remember that if it were not for you, it would be useful to learn how to deal with someone who disagreed with you. See without looking yourself as if you are the smartest creature.

4. Sometimes life is not fair:

You may want God to give you something hard and do everything you have to get it but it was not your share in the end This is the unfair part, but when you think a little may find it good even if you do not know the wisdom of it now God does not waste the work of male or female worker And make sure you get better than you can imagine just trust in God.

5. Much of what you learned must be forgotten:

Of course we learn a lot of things during the formal education period, but it remains just theories that lack much application and may not work in real life.

6. Presentation Skills:

You have to learn the skills of presentation as if you are the best car salesman in the world, it will help you a lot, especially if you decide to start your own business.

7. Free time outside the university:

During the university or school we get some months to be the holiday period during the year to enjoy it to collide with only 7 days or less during the year in real working times and a lot of paperwork needed by this small holiday, which you get free

8. Statistics for the real world:

Real-world statistics are crucial things to solve a lot of problems and make a lot of decisions with the calculator and Excel program accounts.

9. Failure:

When you find yourself failing something, you start to blame, even though I knew it before it happened. It is therefore useful to learn how to overcome failure and more importantly to benefit from the experiences of others.

10. Talk to people:

A person's life will not pass unless he or she experiences speaking to people at least once, so it is important to acquire this skill.

11. Invest in people:

It is important to help people around you, especially those who are less than you in science or money or in an advantage that you own it and not it. Imagine yourself influencing others' lives positively. This is reward for you with God and an indescribable sense of happiness for you in this world.

12. Modesty:

Of humility to God lifted. All that we have in the world is not because of our intelligence, or because we are stronger than others, but because God is one of us. Do not be arrogant about those around you, especially in times of victory, because arrogance may be followed by humiliation.

13. Learn to Face Real Life:

People who go to private schools Private languages and universities deal with a certain group of people who are not the real world mostly and the problem is that they get used to it to come out into the real world with a few distortions that affect their opinions and ideas for a while until reality hits them.

14. Decision Making Mechanism:

Every day and every moment a person takes hundreds of decisions that may be normal like what I will wear today ?? And other decisions may be fateful in your life like Do I have to start my own company ??

Great post! The professor who had the greatest impact on me in college was my Public Speaking professor. It was a nerve-rackingly difficult class for me at the time but I couldn't be more grateful for it. I've never understood why it isn't more required. I would even suggest folks join opportunities to practice public speaking outside of school where possible.

#15 Realize Expectations are a Belief, NOT a Reality

A lot of times we think that what we 'expect' from others is what we should get. There's nothing wrong with having high expectations for yourself but when it's imposed on others, that's where you're setting up for disappointment. Everyone has their own unique way of perceiving the world that may not align similarly to yours

So true, and so many forget that, or never knew it in the first place.

Hey Dearie! I read every word. Great content I must say. I love No.9 the most on Failure. Keep steeming Dearie;-

. Failure:
When you find yourself failing something, you start to blame, even though I knew it before it happened. It is therefore useful to learn how to overcome failure and more importantly to benefit from the experiences of others.

very good posts, as the economy improves, and increases in the income of the affluent, time becomes more valuable: every hour means more, so we feel more pressure to fill it with more work. But busyness is also the result of the kind of work that we generally do and sometimes in the field of education.

Thank you so much profisure for this post i respect you ?

Feel like the education system is focused on learning information but not on retention. Completely agree #8, didn't learn anything pertaining my current job while in school. Smh. Love the list you put together.

well written bro @michaelmorcos, very informative post. here you defined what is education.

If you sum it up, it comes down to real life being the chaos theory instead of following university rules

Life can be unpredictable and throw you some curves. Just say "never" and see what happens! To avoid the jolt when life's surprises come your way, be prepared by being open-minded and maintain the positive mindset that welcomes the life lessons offered.

I totally agree with you! I already tried to say "never" a few times and ended in exactly the opposite direction as I wanted to be. But I think one cannot just be really "open-minded" without having tons of experience first. Only after a lot of destiny curves you will learn how to drive properly in your life...

muy completo e instructivo tu post, estoy de acuerdo contigo la universidad de la vida a cada día nos enseñara algo, esta de parte de nosotros aprovechar y sacarle beneficio a esa información

Yes nowadays education system is definitely a reality that should be changed. Universities and schools use old fashion ways, least part of students will benefit from system and most of them will not.

Totally agree with you, there are lots of super important things to learn.
Thanks for sharing!

Hey man, great article!

The school system rarely gives us proper preparation to succeed in life. Once we get out here we get to stumble around and fail in order to learn unless we find other sources to learn from. I think parents like myself could take a few pointers from this since the school systems will be slower to catch up

I learned more in the university of life than in the "university". Even technical knowledge.

traditional educations lacks lots of things that's not how life works ...thanks for sharing this post :)

time to learn, how busy you are.
It is very effective to learn English bit by bit every day rather than studying a few hours, but only once a week. This means learning does not take much time, maybe just 20 minutes a day, you will reap the results in no time. Check out Englishtown's Daily Lesson - tailored to your schedule.

i don't think we will ever learn them there its all about having seeing those situations in real and dealing them outside

I can empathise with your point about failure.

Here's my story:

I spent most of my twenties working as a freelance journalist for newspapers, magazines and even a national radio station.

I slowly learnt how to avoid my mistakes, but I still struggled to learn a living out of this strange profession.

I discovered a failed creative project is tough to swallow, but it provides you with a great chance to learn more about yourself and your craft.

All you have to do is ask the right questions about what you gained and lost and then capture and apply these lessons before you begin your next work.

Fall forwards!

wow man great post
