You make a good point! I agree a lot of people are afraid to show themselves. I mean who can blame them? This world is a scary place filled with people who will try to tear you down for who you are. But as you said "it may give off a less enjoyable experience for their followers." That may be true but in the end it's not about the followers. It's about expressing yourself. If they do not like what you post then they can unfollow, and those who want to stay will simply stay. But there's also a chance it might make it more enjoyable too.
