Thanks to you and @surfyogi I went through few posts describing APPICS. I’m a bit confused, because even though it’s on Steem blockchain, isn’t it actually a competition to steemit? Who will have soo much time to spend on both platforms or is APPICS some kind of website that will actually promote steemit platform. Please let me know if I’m wrong. I see Steemiens excited about this, but I don’t see it this way as of now. I hope I’m wrong. After my research here is what caught my interest when it comes to APPICS:
Appics is a decentralised global social media app built on the steem blockchain. 65% reward goes to the content creators, 25% goes to curators and 10% goes towards sustaining the network. Minimum investment $5k is a lot though. High identification requirements such as copy of passport. Tokens are called Xap. Sale starts today with presale selling off in 30min. They have their own wallet as well.
Definitely will make a more advanced research, however I love steemit so much, I’m not sure if I’m willing to compromise.
APPICS will use an SMT (SMART MEDIA TOKEN) on the STEEM blockchain. To buy bandwidth on the network they will need STEEMpower for this token. SMT's are made with the idea to empower communities and apps (like APPICS). I see this as a very positive development.
