Why is depression in women more than men in depression?
Depression is seen in very few cases before adolescence, and its rates in girls and boys are almost the same. However, with the onset of puberty, the risk of depression in girls has increased dramatically and doubled in boys. Some experts believe that increased chances of depression in women may be related to hormonal changes. These changes are evident during puberty, pregnancy, menopause, as well as postpartum or abortion. Additionally, hormonal fluctuations that occur with the menstrual cycle every month are likely to occur in premenstrual syndrome (PMS), premenstrual depression or PMDD (severe syndrome due to depression, anxiety and mood changes occurring during the premenstrual period) Which can disrupt the normal functioning of everyday life.
I don't believe woman are more depressed than men. Look at the male suicide rate
