The Cherries in My Garden and in Syrup :D

in #life7 years ago

The season of my sour cherries has begun. My trees are almost red and very beautiful. Therefore I decided to share the easiest recipe of cherry in own juice.

You need to have cherry, sugar, sterilized glass jars and lids for airtight corking. Of course removal of cherrystones is the longest stage in whole process. However if you do it you will not regret it.

After that all next stages are very easy. You should put together cherries and sugar into steel pan (the proportion is one to one), wait when cherry let the juice, put the pot on the stove and wait of boiling. When you will see first bubbles fill jars, close them with lids, turn upside down, wrap with plaid and wait of cooling.

That is all and you are a hero – creator of the perfect summer's taste : D

Beautiful cherry !!!
Was surprised by the recipe: just as my grandmother twisted the cherry.
I even still have this machine and a few covers!
Waiting for a photo of cans with a cherry!
:-)

Thanks a lot for your warm reply! You know, that grandma's recipes are the best :-). I hope that in one week my cherries will be ripe and I will be able to cook them!

It's true, I still remember how my grandmother cooked delicious food!
Waiting for your photo!

Excellent harvest of sweet cherry!

Good harvest year :-). Thank you very much for your pleasant reply!

Great harvest @minndsoul? :-)

Yes, @wandairawan! However is not fully ripe yet :D Thanks for asking!

That's beautiful! Your season is so much further ahead than mine. Our cherry trees have yet to bloom.

Thank you for your kind reply! It is perfect to have long spring! I hope that your cherries will be beautiful too :D

wow you even have cherry trees! So nice. I was hoping to see the cherries in syrup as they are being prepared. They look a bit lighter colored than the ones I'm used to seeing (I'm in Asia). Is it because they're not ripe or is it the type of cherry, I wonder?

Thank you very much for your reply and question, dear @zhuwa! You are right. My cherries are not ripe yet. Therefore here I published recipe, but not the photos of the cherries in syrup :-). Who knows may be I will post such photos too? :D

Thank you for your reply! Of course try. I believe that you will not disappointed :-)
