RE: My Life's Journey - Childhood Memories 1 - Near Death And Funny Fishing Trip With My Father. Part 1/2 :)

in #life7 years ago

wow bro! I love the detail you put into this article, I feel like I was almost there with you. :) It sounds like you had a great father, similar to mine. My father also would show me a few times and then let figure out things on my own, it was the greatest gift he ever gave me. To let me struggle through something until i completed it by myself was a great life lesson.. I think kids have it way to easy these days and no one teaches them about learning to pick urself up when you fail and how to do things on your own, both which are extremely important in life!
You have me waiting for part 2 of this post. can't wait to see the rest of this story.

That is always an intent of my writing. To literally take you on my life's journey with me. To experience what I experienced and feel what I felt. :)

I could not agree with you more on some kids having it too easy these days. But, I believe their parents have a big role to play in that. Making everything easy for your kids in life is not preparing them for real life. You are not making them independent, but dependent.

The second part will be interesting to read to say at least. I just have to sit down and get it out of my head on the paper. :)
