Scientists have said they have detected how BRCA1 gene mutations can cause breast cancer. As reported by researchers from the Yale Cancer Center, they identified the molecular mechanism that causes DNA loss in the BRCA1 gene to repair, in addition to tumor resistance.
The interaction between barca 1 and bard 1 is essential for DNA repair, they said, and their findings could lead to better treatment for breast and ovarian cancer and identify women at high risk for these diseases. The researchers also pointed out that identifying the DNA repair mechanism helps scientists design drugs to kill cancer cells more efficiently.

The researchers also suggested a much higher risk, because in many cancers there is no evidence of a gene mutation. Scientists have made it clear that women can inherit the risk of breast cancer when the role of the BRCA1 gene, which plays in DNA repair, has been previously thought to play a role in breast and ovarian cancer up to 8%
