RE: Family Historian — The Need To Know

in #life7 years ago

I've been researching my family tree for 25 years now. It never ends. I started with about a dozen names and now have 1,752 people going back as far the 1600's. The best thing is when you go beyond just names and dates and start piecing together their stories. It's a fascinating, addictive, hobby.

It's very fascinating and addictive. I've managed the 15th century, because I got lucky to find some high-born ancestors who had genealogies written for them in the 18th century. I've disregarded one of them that purports to go back to the 7th century, I haven't had the time to check behind that genealogy, I don't think I could even if I tried.

My main tree has 2793 people! I blame that on people who have 10 and 15 children each :)
