But, mindful of the fact that my refusal can hurt the soul of a person who turned to me for help, I never learned to deny it to anyone. In the end, then can happen something that will hurt my soul, but not from failure, but from the consequences of my inability to say "no".
Well, after all, why rejection hurts the soul?
Probably because we have the impression that we are not wanted, that those to whom we appealed for help, just indifferent and callous people who aren't out to get us...
I don't argue, it may be, but maybe this man had a good reason to refuse you anything. It is a pity if he did not try to explain to you the reason for his refusal. Especially if you had a very difficult situation and you really needed his help, sympathy or compassion...
But try to understand it, to stand in his place, and forgive. It is necessary, first of all, you. You will quickly find peace of mind and balance, smooth your wound.
Of course, there are different situations, but you can always find a way out of any situation. Someone you refused, and someone and will help.
Failures on the love front is, in my opinion, separate conversation. And the wounds caused by this refusal can, unfortunately, bleed for a long time...
