هل تعرف أن اﻷسد لا ينجح في الصيد إلاّ في ربع محاولاته أي أنه يفشل في 75% من محاولاته وينجح في 25% منها فقط... ورغم هذه النسبة الضئيلة التي تشاركه فيها معظم الطوارئ إلاّ أنه يستحيل على اﻷسد أن ييأس من محاولة المطاردة والصيد.. والسبب الرئسي في ذلك ليس الجوع كما قد يظن البعض، إنما هو استيعاب الحيوانات لقانون "الجهود المهدورة" وهو القانون الذي تعمل به الطبيعة كلها ... فنصف بيوض اﻷسماك يتم التهامها ... ونص مواليد الدببة يموت قبل البلوغ ... ومعظم أمطار العالم تهطل في المحيطات ... ومعظم بذور اﻷشجار تأكلها العصافير ... وحده اﻹنسان من يرفض هذه القانون الطبيعي الكوني ويعتبر أن عدم نجاحه في بضع محاولات يجعل منه إنساناً فاشل ... لكن الحقيقة هي: أن الفشل الوحيد هو: "التوقف عن المحاولة" والنجاح ليس أن يكون لديك سيرة حياة خالية من العثرات والسقطات ... بل النجاح هو: أن تمشي فوق أخطائك وتتخطى كل مرحلة ذهبت جهودك فيها هدرا وتطلع إلى المرحلة المقبلة ... ولو كان هناك من كلمة تلخص هذه الدنيا فستكون بكل بساطة: "إستمر" ........
