STEEMIT's UNTALENTED: Who Am I?

I am the man who always takes the road less traveled, the broken road, the rough road. I have always been a risk-taker, trying hard to be very independent --- but deep inside, behind the mask I am wearing, I am still a child who longs for attention, for guidance, for love. The path I am taking right now is not an easy one but I know for sure, step after step, I will be able to reach my destination.

I'm taking so long to finish my degree because of financial incapability so I've been doing things in order to survive, in order to catch up with the standards dictated by the society. I did everything when I was in high school so I could eat, so I could live, so I could finish high school. A normal high school student would just wake up, eat breakfast, prepare for school, ride a bus, study, mingle with friends, eat outside, go home and sleep. That was not my set up before. I had to wake up early to build a fire on a charcoal so I could cook breakfast, if there is any. After that, I would prepare for school. Our house is 4 km away from school and I had to walk all the way because I was penniless. At school, apart from studying, I would sell food to my classmates so I could eat during lunch and at the same time, earn money for tomorrow's lunch. I would also do their assignments for a price in case we have requirements to pay. After school, I would walk to the market to buy food to sell the next day. Then I would walk home. Well, yes. It was not a normal high school for me. At least I'm proud that though I took a broken road, it still lead me to where I am now.

Still, I am taking another broken road. But as I said, I know for sure where it would lead me to... To success.

Thank you @surpassinggoogle for this opportunity.
