I was in an used bookstore in South Haven, Michigan the first time I picked up a book by Richard brautigan I bought In Watermelon Sugar for 50 cents and read the yellow color-changed pages while I sat on the landing stage overlooking Lake Michigan. is not it strange, amusement-causing how memory works? I is not able to have in mind basic items when I am out food store getting things at store but I can always have in mind every book I have bought or have been given right down to the placing and the condition of mind I was in that day. So, I bought the small little book and I right away became enthralled with Brautigans writing polished and tasteful form. I loved his sense of humor and the strange, interesting way he looked at the earth. I have been re-reading some of my specially supported verses and book divisions from his books over the holidays and thought part of mind given to pleasure statement of part-owner with you a few to have memories bits I have in mind that you will like.
