What is life without love? As much as we might explore what life is and where we come from, little else matters if we are unable to share it. Sharing our life with others is undoubtedly the most fulfilling part of life. What is life without love? Let’s look a bit deeper into this question.
In order to explore the question in regard to life with or without love, just as we have looked at what life is, we must also establish what love is. Love IS definable as a principle and as a fundamental and intrinsic part of nature and living. It is more appropriate to speak of love as something at the core of nature’s operations. Still, many of us see love as something we might or might not fall into.
This being the case, life without love is impossible. As much as we might understand this to be true intellectually and regardless of the ability we might have to back this up with argument, if we are not in touch with this love, no argument matters. We must FEEL love or feel ourselves to be a part of this love, in order to be even remotely satisfied with what is otherwise only a fact.
Life can certainly seem to be without love. The real question becomes “What is life without knowing love?” Life can be brutal, miserable and full of despair. When this is the case, how do we remedy it? Again, these are feelings. The best solution in my experience is to work to get more deeply in touch with the love that is inherent and operating at the core of nature—to witness love at work. This gives us the opportunity to recognize that we ourselves are the product of this love and in living extend this same love through and beyond ourselves. It is once again our minds that get in the way. Certainly, feelings must be processed. Pain is real.
How to Recognize Love at Work
Witness is love at work at the heart of nature and ourselves IS achievable. However, to do it successfully, we must cultivate the ability to recognize it at work. From this, we are able to see it, experience it and feel it. So, how to learn to recognize love? Again, it is at the heart of all things as a principle inherent in nature. It is what brings balance in nature. It is what holds all things together. It is what matters in all of matter.
Watch the sun rise, a blade of grass sprout or the galaxy spinning. Life is full of this principle of balance at work. Watch an otherwise argumentative person and if you look closer you can spot choices that this very person has made for balance. Do they still observe traffic lights? Did they tuck in their shirt or brush their hair? These are distinct ways in which they are still working with the balance in life. Love is the unconscious need to eat, walk, sleep and breathe. Are they doing this? Do you see? Love is the caretaker. What is life without love? There is no life without love.
