He saved up for over a year to be able to afford the car. Unfortunately due to covid and inflation, supply chain problems and other political situations the price has risen significantly for second hand cars.
He paid €16,000 for a 2016 Volkswagen Golf and that sounds expensive to me.
He has been able to budget well as he is living in my hometown for cheaper than living at a city where he lived before. Covid allowed him to fully work remotely and that is a gift in my opinion.
I wish I could have that option.
