'Blex'. That's brilliant, and now all I can picture in my head is the film, 'Cry Freedom' which needs another watch. The first, and possibly last film I ever saw on its release back in 1987 which had an interval when a lady appeared selling ice creams out of a try hung around her neck. It kind of spoiled the mood of the film a little. One minute you're watching the horror of a massacre in a Soweto township, then the curtains go back and you've got this old girl in a short lacy skirt telling you to buy a Strawberry Cornetto! Enjoy that did you? Righto, back to the tyre necklaces!
As for the Spitting Image song that came out around the same time.....don't hear that much these days!!
Haha, oh man. There was a cinema in Glasgow that had people selling ice cream and shit in an internal up to about then too. I wrote liked it but it did totally break the immersion!
