Excellent advice, for those in doubt: this practice works.

I must add this: If you are out of practice, or have none, then set small and achievable goals, ones that have measurable outcomes. This will allow you to not only begin transforming these practices into habit, and you definitely want to habituate these practices, it will also provide a positive reinforcement from successful, small, short term goals. Start there, work up at your own pace.
