The shoebill stork seriously creeps me out. They eat baby crocodiles and fish, but they freaking decapitate their food before swallowing it. They've actually been depicted in Egyptian artwork so they've been around for a long time. They seem to be one of the closest reminders that birds developed from dinosaurs! Oh, and they crap on their legs to keep cool.. like wth? Extremely bizarre animal.
EDIT: I never realized I would get so many upvotes! Thank you so much! However, I wanna clarify, since there are some people that think I'm disrespecting this beautiful bird, I'M NOT! I said it's a BIZARRE animal, which doesn't mean I'm calling it ugly or saying I dislike it in any way. The true definition of bizarre is when something is “strange or unusual, especially so as to cause interest or amusement.” I don't see how that's disrespectful or insinuating an ugly remark. I believe this is a beautiful creature and should be respected just as much as every other animal on this planet.
