We were always taught at work that there is a big difference between managers and leaders. A manager will get you to do the job but a leader will teach you and make you want to do it. Some people are just built to be in that position but it can be learned as well. It's about getting the best of of the people you are dealing with and making want to be a part of it. It takes a lifetime and there will be mistakes but we always remember the great leaders we have dealt with.
Big difference. No one wants to be managed, but everyone wants to be lead. I’m channeling Simon Sinek, haha.
No one thinks “Please manage Me!”.
Ive done plenty of the training courses over the years about this too. Taking the lead and developing staff. The joys of management.
That's true! Some wise words in this. :)
